Re: Should I buy the 18-55 along with the Xt2?

Well if you didn't like 18-55 on the XT1 I don't see how you will like it on the XT1. Its not like the XT2 images are totally different. Its more the overall operation of the camera, the AF, the joystick, the dual card slots etc etc, not so much the IQ. Better DR and better IQ.

16-55 seems the logical choice.

I have been to a number of weddings. I don't recall the wedding photographers ever using anything other than zoom lenses and all of them used Canon 5D 11 or 111's and Canon zooms.

XT2 and 16-55 should be a match for those 5Ds and L zooms.

I have the 18-55 and the 16-55. If you're doing Pro shoots the 16-55 for sure because its maximum IQ, maximum flexibility and perfect framing, fastest AF and also it looks the part to a paying customer. The little 18-55 would make you look like an amateur in a world that is used to seeing larger DSLRs and large L glass zooms.

XT2 with a grip and 16-55 looks like a Pro setup, would act like a Pro setup and would give maximum IQ.

So if then you use a good RAW converter like Photoninja you are all set to give it a red hot go. If you still don't like it then you know its not for you and not just a poor choice of gear and software for processing the photos.

Also with Fuji realise its not just the camera and the lens is all you have to be careful to chose. Its also the processing software. Lightroom is no good. Photoninja is good, Iridient is good, Capture 1 V10 is getting good reviews. On1 shows promise (still being readied for later in Dec release and is available for prerelease now).
