Nice work. Looks like a beautiful place all year round. My only criticism is the lack of sound with the autumn slideshow. I especially liked the trees that decided they would rather grow out horizontally instead of up.
Thanks Norman. I don't know what happened when you watched the Autumn show because it does have music. If you have the time, try again: Autumn Slideshow . There were a lot of people watching the Autumn slideshow after I posted this thread, so the server may have backed up a bit.
The effect of the light on the trees is called phototropism. See this teaching moment in the Teatown Newsletter .
Just got an NX1 myself recently though I've only tinkered with it so far. I was very happy to find it in excellent condition but today I found a fault. The tripod mount thread is not gripping the tripod plate - must be partially stripped. So I'll have to get a tap & die kit and get it rethreaded. Not something I've done before so I'll probably buy a kit and let someone with experience do it at my workplace.
Congrats on your "new" NX1. You'll be totally hooked in no time. Hopefully you'll get the tripod socket sorted out. I keep my QR plate attached there all the time so I can quickly mount the tripod when needed. I look forward to your images from the camera.
