Open-box "excellent" Panasonic G7 shutter count. Do you agree number is high?

This weekend, I purchased an open box Panasonic G7 with 14-42 kit from a major retailer that was advertised to be in "excellent" condition, which I received today. It was $399 (instead of new for $499), plus tax. After opening, a took one pic (as required to get count) and performed the operation to get the camera's usage info. (I blocked out the serial):

Powered on 22 times, 928 pics taken (927 plus the one I took), flash fired 143 times. Does this cross the line from an open-box being in "excellent" condition to "used"?

Everything was very poorly packed: the camera was half covered with plastic. The lens was uncovered without a cap. They included the wrong lens hood (for a different G7 kit that doesn't fit the 14-42). There were actually no scratches on the body or lens, so I can get over the poor packing. The inside of the grip has some white discoloration, looks like from sweat.

Putting aside the condition of the grip  (I could probably clean it) and wrong hood...would you agree that these usage numbers are crossing the line into "used", or...?

Last year, I purchased a different open box camera in "excellent" condition from the same store and everything was actually in excellent condition, packed well and had only 50 shutter, 1 power on and zero flashes.

I probably will exchange the G7, but still wondering what others think. If they don't have any more open box, I might just get new.
