Olympus needs an OM-D E-M3
2

With the high price of the E-M1 Mk 2 turning a lot of people (including me) off, I think it would be a smart move for Olympus to introduce something for those of us who want a real grip and 20mp sensor, but don't need all the speed and processing power of the flagship. Granted the original EM-1 is a good camera & deal, but I have a hard time dropping over a grand on a camera this year if it doesn't have 4K.

I've used the EM-10 for years and while it's been a good travel cam, I always wish it had more of a grip, especially for larger lenses like the new 12-100, or the 40-150 PRO. I don't see the E-M1 price ever dropping below $1600 US, and an E-M3 could fill that space in the ~$1200-1300 body market nicely (maybe the guts of the PEN-F in an OMD E-M1 body).

I kinda doubt it will ever happen, but we can dream wishfully right?
