Re: Polarized Sunglasses?

Just out of curiosity, do you need your sunglasses to be polarized? I have some as well because they are becoming so common nowadays, but I generally dislike them because they introduce so many artifacts to our vision. I would actually like to go back to the plain dark glass lenses from before. I realize that this would probably not be possible with wraparound glasses for you, but you should be able to find non-polarized plastic lens wraparound sunglasses and then would not have to worry about LCD vs OLED, or any of the other issues that polarized glasses introduce (color shifts, rainbows, sheen, patterns on tempered glass, etc). It's nice that polarized glasses reduce glare and all that, but I personally find that the issues that they create totally outweigh the benefits.

My sunglasses are prescription polarized. I work outside all the time from dark to dark sometimes ( usually) and they help lowering stress on my eyes. I've been using them since 2001 roughly. Tried transitions but hated them.

I never noticed any artifacts... except various displays and evfs etc.

If there is something very close to these that kills the glare and reflections please let me know. I will gladly make a new pair soon.

Thanks
