Re: Two dials and exposure compensation

In looking at the G-85, the camera's interface for P/A/S is setup more for a camera with single dial. The default interface uses either dial to set the main setting (program shift, aperture, shutter speed). To set exposure compensation, you have to press the exposure compensation button and rotate a dial.

This seems to be a cross model constant on Panasonic.  For example in A mode the single dial GM1 & GM5 involve a toggle press to switch between A and EV adjustment that can become second nature.  On the twin dial GX7 the rear dial does exactly the same thing. But you have to check/remember which function is active.  The function selected remains live until changed again which is laudable.

Therefore consistency within camera bodies can be quite useful.

It is probably more bothersome than instant twirl but a toss up when moving between more compact bodies and the larger ones with dual dials where consistent actions between models is more prized.
