Round bokeh balls right across the frame - best lenses
3

Dear ArizonaSunset

Thank you for your kind, clean and beautiful way and for sharing.

I like round bokeh balls right into the corners, and sometimes see them in movies. With MFT lenses they are usually more like flying saucers all around the edges, converging on the subject. Now Meyer-Görlitz specialises in providing this swirling effect, I find it distracting.

The Panasonic Leica Nocticron 42.5mm f1.2 seems to have them round only when closed down to f1.8, and only in the middle part of the image?

The Panasonic Lumix G 42.5mm f1.7 seems to only get them round at f2.8 but not above, while the Olympus 45mm f1.8 has them round in the center wide open and then again at f2.8, but not in between and above?

And none of these lenses have them round at the edges. As round bokeh balls (circle of confusion) from point light sources depend on large front elements, but MTF curves often show the focus points diverging widely starting in the mid-field already, negatively impacting bokeh, do you know of larger lenses that would provide even bokeh across the frame?
