It can, in the basement lighting of my home it is very bad and even gives an auburn/burnt caramel color in bands from the lighting,  I was afraid my NX300 sensor was a goner but some testing confirmed it was only an issue in that particularly bad light.  After all, even if you're not taking photos actively the sensor still needs to be doing so to send something to the display.

Check also though that the automatic LCD brightness setting is set to a manual brightness instead.  And that the framing mode others mentioned is set to on if you're trying to remove the effects of your exposure settings as well.

When framing mode is off the display will be adjusting always to emulate the result of taking a photo with your current settings.  When on it tries to keep the display at the same brightness as much as possible (very useful for flash work in dark areas).
