I'm leaning to keeping the Zeiss, and not bothering with the 10-24. My ultrawide needs are typically for landscape/architecture and occasionally travel. But the double cashback in the UK makes the 10-24 a sweet deal. Thoughts?
A few years ago when I thought I didn't have GAS because I was only buying three lenses per year, I decided to buy the 10-24 over the 14mm. I like the 10-24 for the zoom range and OIS. 10mm with OIS is as wide as i want to go and 24mm is long enough that the 10-24 can stay mounted on camera all day. It's fun taking ultra wide shots holding the camera overhead or below your waist.
In your situation, I wouldn't sell the Zeiss to finance the 10-24. The Zeiss should be good enough to serve as your wide angle landscape lens. The drawback with the Fujifilm gear is that the resale value is nowhere near as good as Canon L-glass resale. I'd rather wait until next year's Fuji sale (they happen roughly every six months).
I think I'd like the OIS, but for the fact if I'm doing landscape, I tend to use a tripod. And if I'm travelling, I tend not to use ultra wide F/L's so much (but as you say, it covers a lot of focal length needs in the one lens).
I've found the resale value to be fair if I'm honest. Granted the RRPs are high, but with the silly rebates all the time, used values don't seem to be too much below the rebated cost new. However, I've bought most of my "questionable" or undecided lenses used in case I choose to later sell them. The 10-24 doesn't seem to come up much used, so the order I have (on backorder), is for a new one, but with double cash back. I've a week or so delay before they are back in stock, so I have some thinking time.
