Upgrade from Canon SL1 / 100d - full frame or APSC?

Folks

I acquired an SL1 two years back and have been happy with it. Thanks to the good folks here and watching a lot of youtube videos + reading books, I have learnt quite a bit about photography in general. Have acquired the following gear:

SL1 body + 18-55 STM kit lens

EFS 24 F 2.8 STM pancake prime lens

EF 40 F 2.8 STM pancake prime lens

Sirui T-025x carbon tripod

I was thinking of upgrading my camera body (only) to get more features such as more cross type points, swivel LCD screen, higher sensor resolution and better quality sensor (latest generation). Would like people to critique the following options:

1) Upgrade body only to higher rated APSC camera such as Canon 80D

Advantage - retains the full functionality of all EFS lenses, Disadvantage - not an upgrade to full frame

2) Upgrade to Canon 6D (cheapest Canon full frame I can *just about* afford in EMI's) Advantage - entry into full frame category and all the benefits that accrue with it. Disadvantage - older generation model (older sensor), no compatibility with existing EF-S lenses.

I like to shoot the following photos - landscapes, cityscapes, portraits etc..

Would welcome your views on what I should do? Thanks in advance.
