Panasonic G85 from an Olympus user

On the Panasonic, the time set menu is not in a convenient location. If you cycle through the live view displays with display, there is one screen that briefly shows the current time. However, since that screen is not the screen that shows the histogram and level settings, it isn't my normal screen and as I said, the time only shows up briefly, and then goes away.

Both methods are a little awkward, but I am used to the Olympus method.

* I am a programmer by trade, and I've had issues with carpal tunnel syndrome when I wear wrist watches in the past. My normal method of telling time is pulling out my smartphone, and pressing the power button to activate the display. In addition, I seem to have bad luck with watches that I buy for wearing at faire, in that they typically only last a day or two.

In fact a similar solution in Panny.

1) Hit the OK button to call up the Menu;

2) Tap (left tab) to select Setup Menu;

3) Tap on the up/down pointer (depends on which way is faster) on right hand side (page navigator?) going to Page 1;

4) Select "Clock Set" to display the system time and day of home town.

5) Half hit shutter to return to ready mode.

Looking like the above doesn't better off than Oly's operation, but touch LCD selection can be a faster job (concentrating on LCD instead of looking for keys)...
