2 button presses do the job

When I'm shooting renaissance faires, I often need to know what time it is, as I don't typically wear a wrist watch (*). If I'm carrying my Olympus camera in my hands, I will often check the time by doing Menu -> Up Arrow (to get to the utility menu) -> Right Arrow (to get to the time set menu) to see what the time is, and then press Menu twice to get back.

On the Panasonic, the time set menu is not in a convenient location. If you cycle through the live view displays with display, there is one screen that briefly shows the current time. However, since that screen is not the screen that shows the histogram and level settings, it isn't my normal screen and as I said, the time only shows up briefly, and then goes away.

Both methods are a little awkward, but I am used to the Olympus method.

Press play... then press play again (or half-press shutter).

In most rear-screen display modes, that will show the date/time for a couple of seconds.

2 button presses (Pana) is surely better than 5 button presses (Oly)
No danger of accidentally changing the date/time either
