Re: Two dials and exposure compensation

I have my G85 set up to use the front dial as EV compensation, no button press is needed.

I also like the "Quick menu" in the G85, I use the custom version of the quick menu, after pressing the Quick Menu button, you can use the front dial to quickly go to the item desired (Photo Style for instance) and with the rear dial, select the new setting.  It's the first time I have seen a Control Panel type interface that actually is quicker and easier to use then the Olympus control panel.  Add the fact that you can customize it (to delete items you never want/need to change) and it's really great.

BTW...I also go way back with Olympus.  I have,  and enjoy many an E dslr and love their glass, but I never got fully over Olympus' abandoning us full sized Four Thirds customers.

You GO, Panasonic

In looking at the G-85, the camera's interface for P/A/S is setup more for a camera with single dial. The default interface uses either dial to set the main setting (program shift, aperture, shutter speed). To set exposure compensation, you have to press the exposure compensation button and rotate a dial.

Ah, that's annoying, I've got used to the Oly way of doing it with the front dial for exposure compensation. Can it be customised?
