Ah, that's annoying, I've got used to the Oly way of doing it with the front dial for exposure compensation. Can it be customised?

Yes, there is a menu option that lets you operate the front dial without having to push the +/- Exposure Compensation button. Works just like the EM1 when changed in the Menu.
