In looking at the G-85, the camera's interface for P/A/S is setup more for a camera with single dial. The default interface uses either dial to set the main setting (program shift, aperture, shutter speed). To set exposure compensation, you have to press the exposure compensation button and rotate a dial.

What is the second dial doing then if not EV comp ??

The way I have my E-M5/E-M1 (and now G85) setup is exposure compensation is the front dial, and the normal action is the second dial (i.e. for P mode, it is program shift, for A mode it sets the aperture, for S mode it sets the shutter speed).  For M mode, it does not set exposure compensation, but one dial is the aperture and the other shutter.

So, I needed to make two settings, in the dial set menu.  First set exposure compensation to the front dial, and then set the dials so that SS is the front dial and F is the back dial.

Olympus allows you to program each of the 4 main items dials separately, so that if you wanted you could have the exposure compensation on the front dial for P mode and the rear dial for A mode.
