Pixel size comparison 6.8 mu vs 4.5 mu
1

Hi,

I made two images using a pretty sharp lens from Hasselblad, the Planar 100/3.5. One of the images was shot on my P45+, with 6.8 micron pixel pitch and the other on my Sony sporting 4.5 micron pixel pitch.

The first pair of images is an actual pixels comparison:

Actual pixels

While for the next one the Sony A7rII image was downsized to same resolution:

The idea here was not compare medium format with the Sony A7rII but to see if medium format would benefit from a higher resolution sensor.

Nothing revolutionary, but a nifty illustration of the benefits of small enough pixels.

Best regards

Erik
