XT2 - Back button focus

Hi all,

Most of you probably already know this but a post today got me thinking about back button focus on the xt2. I have now tried it out my xt2 and absolutely love it.

I was initially of the impression it wasn't possible on the XT2 but I have been, as frequently occurs, proved wrong. For these of you who didn't know how to do it the steps are below.

1) Disconnect focus from shutter button

to do this  go into 'set up' -》'button/dial setting' and turn off 'shutter af'

2) switch AFL button into focus button

to do this navigate to the same place as above but the go into the 'fn/ael/afl button setting' menu and select afl at the button. set the purpose of this button to AFL.

The camera will now focus while the button is pressed and lock focus when released. The shutter will not speak to require focus.
