Hi, so forgive my complete lack of knowledge in the area but by any chance does anyone knowledgeable in the area of UV photography know whether, hypothetically, it would be possible to convert the phone on a camera to shoot in UV?

Any information would be very much appreciated.

Conversions are possible but, if you a thinking about the wonderful imaging that used be possible to create using Kodak Hi-Speed Infrared 135 film, forget it.  I still have two gorgeous Konica Hexar cameras that could autofocus in near darkness on IR fully open to F2.0. Gosh, should purchase and freeze several hundred rolls of Kodak Hi-Speed Infrared long time ago.

Alex
