Gear for video : G7+12-35 f/2.8 or G85+12-60

Hello everyone

I have a documentary project in my head since quite a time. Now is the time to put motion pictures on it.

I'm looking for a not too expensive video solution... I have basically a budget of max 1000€ for body+lens.

I was thinking of getting the G85 (or G80 here in France), then read about the noisy IBIS issue, and started to look for another solution. (By the way, according to a recent thread, the problem is not THAT big...)

I found a classified in my town for a G7 (300€)+12-35 (600€), it would even let me the money for an additionnal used 25 F1.7.

Or if I'm really reasonable, 14-42 instead, for 100€ used, and money left to buy an editing software, Lavalier mic etc...)

Or G85+12-60 for 999€

Right now, my heart is balancing towards the G7 solution.

What are your opinions/experience on the subject?

Perhaps I'm missing something, as I'm am new to video shooting, perhaps I underestimate the importance of IBIS... or not.

I don't ask anyone to tell me what to buy, I'm just asking for argumented opinions from experienced video shooters on this subject.

Thanks to all
