You will get less noise with the Nikon, that's for sure. But first, (1) make sure you are using the lowest ISO setting that you can manage, and (2) use raw files. Raw files inherently have much less noise in the shadows. Finally, try to expose the shadows correctly, and resist the urge to "raise the shadows".

It's possible to mask out moving objects when you merge photos.  You can even remove those objects from the view.  But that's a software problem, and another subject.  Your camera can make HDR photos automatically, and I think it might even handle moving objects.  But it's totally automatic, and you have little or no control.

You will have to decide for yourself whether the Nikon is worth it to you. We can't decide that for you.
