Sigma SD15 Monochrome and/or IR, RAW?

It seems that the Merrill and Quattro based cameras have the native ability to capture a monochrome image in RAW format along with color image data. The SPP version for these sensors has a "monochrome" button that easily changes a color X3F file to mono, or readily converts a full spectrum or IR RAW file with the red cast.

It appears that the SD15 does not have the native ability to capture a color X3F file and a monochrome X3F file at the same time. Choosing B&W through the in camera menu is JPEG only.

Will an older version of SPP (correct for the SD15) restore the ability to make a monochrome image from a RAW file? There appears to be no way to do this with the most current version of SPP on a SD15 file.

What would be the best way to process full spectrum or IR images in a Windows environment, especially if the single button "monochrome" approach is not available?

I did find the blog entry on the Sigma website for IR processing, and it mentions a SD15 camera, but the detailed steps are for the SD1.

Thanks.
