Am using the 750D for studio flash and some small tabletop product shots; workflow is to shoot with RAW format and post processing using Capture One Pro 9.

Since I don't need 24.2mega pixel file size; post-processing an unnecessary large RAW image will slow down the process or even cause software to quit. Thus, is there a way to:

1). either change the CANON RAW image default file size; or

2). setup a pre-crop in the camera before shoot, so that only partial of sensor capture is saved, crop outter part is not needed; or

You saying you are using a focal length shorter than needed resulting in the need to crop photos later?! or do you mean downsize the image file from say 24 to 10mp keeping the entire view the camera saw?

3). a post-processing using "batch" feature to crop the RAW file to smaller file size...using it's bundled software? Capture One or Lightroom...etc?

THANKS FOR THE COACH
