I'd be concerned that 24mm-equiv sometimes wouldn't be wide enough and I wouldn't get the shots I needed. Going the Canon route has you covered. You're shooting professionally so getting the needed shots matters first; the inconvenience of changing lenses should be (IMO) secondary.
