The SX 60 does not have the timer on the ring of the function set as the SX50.

Looks like a Flash control is in the timer's spot.

To get to the timer you have to use the function set button, and all the options will appear on the display where they can be set. It looks like a few more options are included.

If anything is in video mode, I know nothing about it. I don't usually shoot videos on the Canon. I use my cell phone.

I guess getting time to research has finally answered my question.  I will probably get the SX60 and give the SX50 to a family member who wants to shoot closeups of otters' faces at a zoo.

Wifi, better macro and a few other additions will be welcome. I have a Canon 20D so I have flashes and controllers I can use. I will keep the adapter as I have a polarizing filter I use.
