I started a thread regarding any issues about shutter shock with the 14-140 and had some very informative replies. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4064814

Basically with the GX85 and G85 due to dual I.s., there are no issues, but sorry, not sure about the GX8.

I have the GX8 and the 14-140 Mk II.  Both have firmware updates that involve the dual IS.  I've not experienced shutter shock.  Nor have I tried to create it, test for it, etc.  I do shoot primarily with E-shutter.  There is an Auto shutter that works with whatever lens is mounted to try to avoid mechanical shocking shutter for the suspect shutter speed range.

IMOH, the shutter shock police have found ways to prove beyond any doubt in their minds that the GX8 is "snake bit" for shutter shock.  It appears they've done enough damage to the GX8's marketability that the price is being driven down or "free" lenses are being added.  That is good news for anyone that wants an exceptionally good camera for and exceptional bargain price!   Panasonic has also contributed to the price drop by releasing a couple M4/3 cameras with some interesting shutter and stability features.  Again, IMOH, those new cameras don't ruin the GX8.  They only, add options to the Panasonic line.
