Hello grip owners.

Looking to find out whether buying a grip has made access to the AF-L button easier on the X-Pro2? It's a bit of a stretch for me unless I'm using the camera two handed so would be interested to know your experiences.

Appreciate any comments you may have.

Thanks

Colin

I have the Fuji grip on mine and I would say it is a little easier, but only if you swap the AEL and AFL buttons. It is easier if you also have a thumb grip because you can rest your thumb on the underside of the thumb-grip to brace the camera and just slide it over to hit the AEL button.

I had just edited my post but wasn't able to update it. I think one-handed BBF is easiest if you have a grip, swap the buttons, and use a thumb grip.

Beyond BBF, I think thumb grips are a huge improvement in handling because you can stabilize the camera much easier one handed. My Pro1 just had a thumb grip and leather half-case and I found the 55-200 easy to use one handed.

Don't cheap out on the Thumbgrip. The Lensmate has a small silicon bumper that rests against the camera body. With out that using the grip will put rotational stress on the hotshoe.

How do you swap AEL and AFL buttons? Is is by assigning functions to them or something else? I'll aldobintl getting the lensmate thumb grip, thanks?

Menu > Setup > Button/Dial Setting > AFL/AEL Setting.

I use the front FN button for BBF. Have you tried that? It is really easy to press and reach compared to the AE-L and AF-L buttons.

Yes but what do you set it to?
