D810 to X-T2 - Test Shot w/Nikkor 85mm 1.4d
2

Hello there,

I recently picked up the Fuji X-T2 along with a few lenses (18-55, 16-55, 56 and 50-140). I previously had the X-T1, which I picked up used via EBAY. I really liked the X-T1, but ended up returning due to a problem with the sensor.

I still have a D810, which I might end up selling depending on how I get on with the X-T2. So far, I have been really impressed with the form, function and overall image quality. The battery life sucks, but that is not a surprise and something I can live with. Also, I can throw all of the fuji gear in one backpack, and is so much lighter than the equivalent Nikon gear, loving that!  I am mainly switching, because I simply don't want to lug around the DSLR gear, and am the Fuji is proving to be portable and fun to use with very little compromise in image quality (I might keep the Nikon only for serious landscape work).

I took a test shot of a rose in our garden with the Nikkor 85mm 1.4d using a Fotasy adapter, and am excited to give this combination a go for portraits (this is only a hobby for me). Test Shot below:

FUJI X-T2, Nikkor 85mm 1.4d, f/2.8, SS 8000, ISO 200, always loved the bokeh on this lens
