Please state and rate the lenses you have used on the SD1

Yes, I bought it converted.  It was converted in China and apparently there are still ads for converting the camera in China.  I will be selling this along with the 17mm and the 16-35 soon.  I plan to get a sigma mount SD1M and that is why I created this thread.

I'm trying to decide whether to acquire an sd1 with a sigma mount to replace the one I currently have with a canon mount. I'm pretty sure that eventually the sd Quattro will also be available modified but while af and aperture control works lens stabilization doesn't and I don't want to lose that.

Just curious, which lenses (in the Canon mount), are you currently using on the "modified" Sigma SD1 - is it Merrill?

So then, you bought the Sigma SD1 "with it already converted to use Canon mount lenses", opposed to buying it as the SA mount, then modified?

It sounds like that was (is) the course you took, when you got it?
