Have just received the NX1000 and have tried several Raw Converters YET the only one that seems to accept the raw image is Photoshop CC Camera Raw. Do not want to splurge on Lightroom SO are there any other Raw Converters out there for this and other NX Cameras that we may consider buying in the near future???

Cheers for years

One other suggestion, if you've already have a favourite way of working with RAWs....

If that's also OK with files in the DNG format, you could use the free Adobe DNG converter and then either dump or archive off the originals? (It's good not only for RAWs from old Samsungs, but stays current with nearly every brand)

As a side benefit, you would see a significant reduction in file size from Samsung's inflated SRW.

Averages with my own pair of Samsungs....

- NX10 (only 14 megapixels) from 26MB as a RAW to 13MB DNG

- NX3000 (like the NX1000, 20 megapixels) from 26MB as a RAW to 17MB DNG

- and the five examples I downloaded from an NX1000 review went from 36MB each to "only" 19MB as DNGs.

Disk storage is relatively cheap these days - however it's not just smaller master files, but also the potential for speeding up every backup, every virus scan, disk check, etc etc.

..................

This is what I'm now doing with mine, and I then process the DNGs in Lightroom 5 - which luckily come bundled with the NX3000 - using an old version of Photoshop Elements (PSE12) for tasks that LR can't handle.

But with the DNG route you may that some of the programs you've dismissed are also back in the frame?
