Hi all

Need some help !

I'm in deep darkest Philippines and i got the error message ' Lens attachment failed. Please make sure the lens is attached correctly'.

Ive done the following :

reset the camera.

installed latest firmware.

Cleaned the contacts.

Changed battery.

Changed SD card.

Removed the lens and put the lens cover on. The camera menu barely functions and any use is very, very sluggish. I cant see any image through the viewfinder or the screen!

Just to be clear, is the lens now back on the camera? No lens, no image. Lens on with cap on, no image!

I was literally using the cam for 5 minutes didnt change any lenses or do anything unusual.

Hope some wise heads can offer some advice. Did a search online and cant see any quick fixes.

Cheers,

Richard

Is there a possibility of high humidity and condensation, moving from aircon environment to outside?  If so, try drying out in warm/dry location. If no desiccant available then try dry rice - put rice in tray, then stand camera on it with small piece of polythene between camera and rice.
