You can use the "smart remote" to synchronize up to 50 gopro cameras.

I have 2xGoPro silver 4 and the remote works OK.

Its not synced, its just ballpark starting.  You need a cable to get real sync.  The dual hero back gives you some form of genlocked sync.  Its rare to be able to do this to a pair of cameras.  3d is the easiest way to see what is really synced up.  There is just no substitute for hardware synced cameras.  The endless argument is, "just sync in post".  mmmyeah, that's not sync.  Anything can do that.  You need the sensors to be in sync.

So, what the gopro dual hero back does is invert the scan direction for one camera and it synced them up tightly and they stay in sync as long as they are recording.  For 3d, you simply must have this type of sync.  To not do it will be painful on the eyes or just not look right.  Then you get drift.  You can get lucky and get close.  The nice thing about this system is, when its recording, its very tightly synced.  I have gone through about every system, even 120fps does look good when you try to sync in post.  That dual hero back was a big deal.  Its sad that it only works on one model, the 3+ black.

Still crushes everything else.
