Lens ramblings...

So, I have been shooting Fuji over the last year or so. Coming from a 5DMK3 I wanted something a little lighter (still have the Canon though). I have an XT-1, but I want to share my opinions about the lenses I own (I mainly shoot pics of my kids).

60

Did I want the 56 1.2..yes. But after shooting with the 60 (a bargain on the used market), not so much. It’s a terrific lens. It’s very slow, but I love the images it produces.

90

The 90. Terrific lens. I own the 135 Canon and love it. Other than the 70-200 it was hands down my favorite. But, to me the 90 seems just a bit long where the Canon didn’t. Can’t explain why (yes there is a slight difference in range). The 90 is the first lens where I thought…hmmm fantastic lens, but it just seems a bit long. Maybe I should use it a bit more. Or my shooting style/preference has changed.

16-55

Ahh the zoom. Again the range is okay. I like the longer end. But, my God this is a fantastic lens. Is it big - yes. Does it have OIS - no. Could care or less it’s fantastic.

35 f/2

I really don’t like this focal range..but I bought it as a necessary evil. After trying it for a bit — I still don’ tike the range. However, it is one very nice lens. Great color and really, really sharp. Again, it’s not my style, but if you like a 50 equiv…I can’t recommend this lens enough.
