There is also a less known, but very good Promaster 100mm f/3.5 1:2 macro lens. It can also be found under Cosina, Phoenix, Vivitar, and even Voigtlander brands. Sometimes it comes with original 1:1 magnifying screw-on lens (usually owners lose them ). It's about $60-80 on eBay. You can buy  it for some rare mount like Yashica and save some money because of low demand for this version or go to AF version of this lens for Nikon. Do note that Canon or Sony versions doesn't have aperture ring.
