Hello all, just wondering if anyone has an opinion on using the Fuji brand MCEX-11 macro tube ring? In particular, I would like to know if there is any IQ difference between using this and the Raynox DCR-150 (which I already have). I may be able to get the MCEX-11 for a fairly low price, so any opinions would be helpful. I have the X-T10 with the 18-55 and the 50-230 II.

I have a set of Pixco 10mm + 16mm ext tubes both work well with full automation with lenses, 6omm f2.4 macro, 55-200mm and best of all with 90mm f2 which already has a decent close focus range. In the field I mostly use the 55-200mm for butterflies, dragonflies, plants. There may be some slight chance of a weak connection using these plastic Pixco tubes attached to 55-200 when mounted on a tripod and thus with the lens unsupported. I haven't used both tubes together though and I've recently been looking at the Raynox 150/250 myself. This page with a calculator might be of some help to you: http://extreme-macro.co.uk/raynox-adapter-techniques/

My feeling is that the Raynox and their Canon equivalent closeup lens/filters are very good and while theoretically any glass in front of the lens will decrease IQ, I don't think anyone could say which setup had been used in most cases.
