Hi forum,

My SD Quattro arrived from B&H yesterday.

Congratulations. Enjoy your new camera!

Too early to judge IQ---other than to say colors are great, and I did photograph some black dogs and see less blotches on my photos than I would with the SD15 (which was surprising, considering how much noise there is on the interwebs about this).

That's right, 'noise on the inter webs'. Can you believe some people already into Sigma are deferring their intended purchase based on inappropriate analysis and comments by what I can only describe as naive reviewing? (It's either naive or malicious, so I give them the benefit.) That's pretty sad.

Paraphrasing Sir Isaac:

For every seriously bad Q image on the web, there is a seriously excellent one.

I have a vague recollection of something called "disaster theory" which, if I recall correctly, says that something bad sticks in one's memory forever while all the good stuff fades quickly away . . .

You mean something like this?

"The evil that cameras do lives after them, the good is often interred in their firmware. So let it be with Sigma."
