New Canon 100D not focusing correctly

There is motion blur evident in both images even though the OP is happy with the first one.  The 100D shot is shot at only half the shutter speed of the 1000D  thus quite a bit more motion blur in the second shot.

R2's comment about increasing the ISO to a minimum of 400 would go a long way to fix this problem.

Here are both images after being run through the "Shake Reduction" filter in Photoshop and a few other minor adjustments.
