The OP wants to use the camera in the same manner as the old one. It's embarrassing to advise to have to use more complex settings on the new camera to get as good as the results as with his old camera!

I was wondering where that part of the thread went too. I had a great follow-up post with a lot of really good info on why Not to use Auto Mode.

I'm wondering how you know that a Creative Mode was not being used?
