So far so good

I've been looking for a good hiking camera (my Nikon SLR is nice, but too heavy for those 25km days). This camera has been excellent so far.

PROS:

I love that it can record RAW images, allowing for post-processing of photos taken in challenging lighting. Images are sharp and colours are pretty good. It can handle the rain and living in a pocket all day, occasionally getting bumped while scrambling rocks, or slapped by a tree branch when bushwhacking. The design is nice, and its macro ability is truly outstanding for a handheld camera.

CONS:

It doesn't have a great zoom, but I'm okay with that (note: you can buy the add-on lens for a bit extra zoom). I don't really like the in-camera processing results from some of the settings, so I've set my camera to neutral and mostly shoot in P-mode -> this yields good results, and anything that needs adjusting...well, there's that awesome RAW option!
