I have a PowerShot SX110 is, and it's been a fabulous little camera! Yesterday, during documentation of my son's Eagle Scout project, it gave me the Change Batteries warning. I shut it down and changed batteries, and when I turned it back on, the display has the items around it like normal, (the Auto mode indicator, the flash indicator, etc, but it isn't showing what the lens is seeing. In fact, if I take a picture, it's like the lens isn't seeing anything. The image is just as black as the display. but it will display images that I took previously on the card. Which part is it that needs replaced?

Thanks!

Hi Nancy,

This sounds like a possible stuck shutter.

See this link for some tips on trying to identify and resolve this:
