Hi, I was planning to get a little Selphy portable printer to take with me when travelling to Asia sometime next year, to give out photos to some people I've taken portraits of. However I was concerned about how long the photos would last for. Are you saying that the Canon portables with the Selphy brand will all have this good long life for prints?
Very long life, the months-in-the-sun test proved that for me. The prints will way outlast me, but that's not saying much as I'm nearly there already....
I've thought about taking the Selphy just to make customised postcards to send home, but hey, that's just more junk to carry and waste time with making the prints. A crappy blog is all I did last time (on this small screen netbook) for the Ireland+UK trip to keep friends and relatives happy.
Usually in Asia people are happy if you just show them on the camera what you took. But nowadays they would probably also want you to transfer the image to their smart-phones.
Regards...... Guy
It's actually some remote parts of Indonesia so I think prints will be valued. But in some places they have cell coverage and will have phones.
What would be the easiest way of transferring photos from an Oly or Pana camera to their phones? That's an interesting side question.
