to prevent distortions and perspective you need to keep the lens level and square to the subject - then lens correction profiles will work correctly

You beat me to this, yes the first ff image is shot tilting camera up at the cork board which will show extreme distortion.   Also any post processing to eliminate most of a badly distorted image will cut off the edges so a 16mm focal length may result in an 18mm focal length.
