When I try to edit a picture in the camera I get a sign that says The image cannot be edited. This holds good for every pic on the memory card. I thought that the pictures were protected so I pressed the Reset Protect button and Yes, which should delete every protection of the images. That did not help. I swapped the memory card for an older card taken with the same camera. The same thing happened, all images were protected from editing. Where is the fault, what should I do? Lars-Eric Häggman

Hmmmm, I've never seen that happen.

Steps I would try......

  1. Format a card in camera and try again with some fresh shots.
  2. Try basic or full Reset of the camera, but note your settings first.
  3. Talk to Olympus, if you can find someone who knows what they are talking about.

Also I guess try jpeg only, raw only, and raw+jpeg to see if the situation is bad in all cases.

Also check that SD-cards are not locked. Obviously, if you can record images, this should not be an issue. I have some cards where the locking system has become loose, and the card gets locked 90% when I insert to camera or SD-reader, no matter how I do it...

If there are pictures on the card that are taken with different camera, it's no wonder that you cannot edit them. So try 1. from Guy Parsons list.
