Who Chose the 300 f4 over the 100-400 for Birding and Why?

If I had the money I would buy Olympus the Panasonic is the next best for bif etc

But not weather sealed and at ƒ5.6 is pushing the boundaries of high ISO when needing fast shutter speeds.
