Re: G9X display in bright sunlight?

I`m afraid that`s a rather subjective topic, and it certainly won`t be as convenient as a viewfinder (especially if you`re used to one).

That said, for me (owning G7 X), LCD is pretty much usable in almost all bright-light conditions - yet for G7 X it helps tilting a screen a bit from time to time, something that G9 X isn`t capable of. But you can always use the other hand for making some shade, if absolutely needed, might be even using touch-shutter alongside it for even more convenience

A very neat thing (G9 X included) is that you can temporarily bump screen brightness to maximum by simply holding the bottom ("DISP.") part of the back control ring, something that I think we all use, being really helpful, especially if you otherwise prefer low LCD brightness for regular use.

If you`re not a grumpy one, but willing to adapt and accept some compromises in favor of gain in other departments, you should be fine Size/pocketability is G9 X`s main selling point, yet the quality coming with it is pretty impressive, too (having in mind the package they squeezed it in).
