People take their camera apart, to see how they're made. That's how we know the EM1. There's official confirmation for other cameras. Plenty of debates in the forum about the IQ of each.

Time flies, buddy. The 5-axis ibis was already 3 years old by the time the em5II was released. They can spend time to improve the hardware, not just for better performance, but for new features that were not originally planned. The EM1 is well supported and got most of the new goodies that were updated through firmware, to justify having this camera as the flagship. You can't firmware update the old ibis for hires, just like Sony can't do it with their own IBIS.
