Your Nikon has a crop factor of 1.5, so 18-55mm is 27-83mm in 35mm equivalent. m43 has a 2x crop factor, so that's 14-42mm (28-84, 35eq) on m43 to equate to 18-55 on the Nikon. The Panasonic 14-42II (46mm filter thread) is my favorite lens of this range. I guess you were really pushing your 18-55 on the wide end, as the small difference in FOV between 27 and 28mm in 35equivalent appears to be making the difference.

I'd recommend taking advantage of one of the m43 options that goes to 12mm on the wide end rather than 14, if you can. That's enough wider to enter the 'ultra-wide' territory, which makes the lens a lot more versatile. The 12-35/2.8 Panasonic, 12-40/2.8 Olympus, and 12-32mm Panasonic are all great lenses that give you this advantage. I love my 12-35/2.8.

Thanks for the tips! I dread looking at the prices on those, though

There are cheaper options as well. The Panasonic 12-32mm 4-5.6 is less than $200 on eBay. Doesn't have a manual focus ring though.

There is the Samyang/Rokinon 12mm 2.0 prime, which is manual focus only, for about $300. Probably a great choice for video.

The Olympus 12mm 2.0 is overpriced new (I would go with the 12-40/2.8 instead), but used it can be found on eBay for about $450, if you have some patients.

The Olympus 12-40/2.8 and Panasonic 12-35/2.8 can be found on eBay, new but imported from Asia, for good prices, about $650 for the 12-40 and $700 for the 12-35.
