For 20 years I was using great Canon glass on a 20 year Canon EOS Rebel. When the body died in early 2015, naturally I researched upgrading to Canon. But during my research, I quickly learned that ALL the REAL 'body' innovation was in the Mirror-less space; Canon and Nikon, the incumbents, seem to still be happy keeping their old embedded platforms i.e. CPUs, Hardware, firmware, all 10 years outdated.

Being a Best-Buy Elite member (45 day return policy) , I bought and returned Canon 7d Mark-11, Canon 6D (their bottom line FF), Nikon 850 (another FF). I used each for 40 days and returned it.

Then I bought the NX1 and never looked back. I thoroughly understood the risks. So, yes, I'm very sad, but in no way am I upset with Samsung. I purchased a fantastic system, and will continue to invest into it. [FWIW: bought all NX gear at Adorama and B&H, 2 day free shipping, reward points, zero sales tax (nice 6% savings) ]

SO, last week I bought Samsung's 50-200 for $199 at B&H.
I COULD HAVE bought a used Canon EOS Rebel body for the same price!
For my needs there's no way I'm going back to Canon's APS-C, FF bodies; For me, their system is too big, too heavy, too expensive.

My NX1 body and NX glass (and Samyang, Rokinon) is so perfect for me.
Thank you Samsung for your Price, Performance, and Features. Just need one little favor, please MAKE MORE ONE DAY.
