You are right.

I suppose they decided not to compromise in-focus sharpness in any way. And all other factors were deemed trade-off-able.

They can afford to do this, to some extent, with the existing 75/1.8 taking care of people who really care about bokeh.

Now the diversity of this system is such that if you are willing to not always have the max resolution numbers, you can choose the Panasonic 35-100/2.8 to avoid LoCA and have more than reasonable bokeh. And if you worry about sharpness all the time and can compromise with bokeh then this lens is your choice. The fast primes in this range each also strikes a somewhat different balance in these trade-offs.

I'm mostly happy with my 45/1.8, but that one certainly is not flawless either. Its tradeoff balance seems also a bit more in favour of sharpness over LoCA and bokeh - not as pronounced as the 45-150/2.8 but still.

The absolutely flawless lens excelling on everything probably weighs more than my laptop, cannot zoom, and needs huge efforts to focus properly. But when you do get it right the result will be unmatched, I'm sure.
