Definitely! Pick up an older and cheap m4/3 body and have it converted to infrared (or convert it yourself if you have the inclination and skills - I have done it several times, with different bodies).

As to the raw converter, I use RawTherapee exclusively and get excellent results from it. Until recently, it used to be tricky getting good WB with certain IR filters and body combinations, but that changed when the developers extended the range of the WB tint controls.
