Samsung is done with the camera business. I wish I never heard of the Samsung NX1 (ignorance is bliss) as it's the best camera for me out of the Cannon 70d, Sony A77mkII or the Nikon 7100. Now I just have to be satisfied that there are no native lenses with a range greater than 200mm. Everyone I show what the NX1 and lenses can do wants to buy mine from me. I love my NX!
I keep hearing people complain about lack of greater than 200mm on this system. Yet those same people don't even have any photos using other cameras with 200mm+ lenses. I question whether a lot of these people have ever owned and used anything over 200mm, or if it is all talk.
Well, I've used the Canon 70D with a 70-250mm and the Sony A77MkII with the 70-300mm. I used the Canon to take pictures and video at College football games, and found that 250mm was a pretty decent focal length. The 70-300mm on the Sony was the perfect focal length but I hated the ergonomics of the camera itself (it was just too large). Once I used the Samsung NX1 I didn't like the ergonomics of either camera. I plan on cropping the video and photos using the NX1 but if there was a a longer zoom that would have been perfect.
